Modi most preferred choice for PM: ABP-Nielsen opinion poll

BJP-led NDA to win 226 seats, Congress-led UPA facing major rout may get only 101 seats: ABP-Nielsen survey

Niticentral Staff | 25 january 2014 :: Four months ahead of Lok Sabha poll, ABP news-Nielsen Opinion poll predicts a massive gain for BJP-led NDA and a disastrous rout for the Congress-led UPA.
The survey says that NDA, of which Narendra Modi is the Prime Ministerial candidate, would get 226 seats (BJP alone would get 210 seats) while the Congress-led UPA would end up with mere 101 seats in the Lok Sabha election, which is due to be held by the mid of the year. Left parties would get 30 while 186 seats would go to others.
NDA’s vote share in 2014 is predicted to be 31 per cent, UPA would poll 23 per cent while 41 per cent vote share would go in favour of others.
As far as popularity graph of the key contestants for the top post is concerned, the survey says that 53 per cent people want to see Narendra Modi as the next Prime Minister of India. Mere 15 per cent endorse Congress vice president Rahul Gandh and 5 per cent people back AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
NDA is heading for victory in majority of Lok Sabha segments in the States like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand while the party is also predicted to win a substantial number of seats in the South India, says opinion poll conducted by ABP News – Nielsen.
In 151 constituencies of North India, the NDA would win 82 seats, UPA 25 while 44 seats would go to others, if the election is held today, the Opinion poll says. Read more here>>>
