Modi Times Corespondent | Kolkata | On 31 January 2014:: The BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will hold a rally in state capital Kolkata on Feb 5th 2014 which has created a great sensation in the state politics of West Bengal.



Over 5 lakhs of people, mainly from the rural and urban areas of Bengal are expected to attend the rally. The rally is a part of BJP 99 public meetings in West Bengal.

Modi’s rally will be held at the sprawling Brigade Parade ground which has a capacity over ten lakhs in its permitted areas. This ground is controlled by the army authority of Eastern Command.

Those looking forward to be seated closest to the platform from where Modi will address the rally, have already booked their seats online. The bookings were started from January 3,2014.

Samik Bhattacharya, a senior state BJP Leader intimates the Modi Times correspondent that the Abnormal Price Hike, Abundance of Corruption Central to State, Communal Politics of CPM and TMC in WBand Autocrat Congress free India are the four main issues are in the agenda in Naraendra Modi's rally at Kolkata. Sri Bhattacharya is on tour in Malda for a campaign for the rally.

Other prime sate leaders Rahul Sinha, Tathagata Roy and Tapan Sikdar are all engaged in their tour as set for MODI RALLY IN KOLKATA.

The BJP supporters of West Bengal are campaigning on war footing to make the BJP's Brigade Rally a grand success.

The ruling TMC and the opposition Left Front are blaming each other for the raise of BJP in the state as a commanding force in awaiting. Mukul Roy, a veteran TMC leder of the state told in a TV talk show that BJP could share at least 15% popular vote of the state. On the other hand, CPIM leader Suryakanta Mishra told that Mamata Banerjee should clear her stand that she would never join in the BJP fold. The perplexed Congress leadership in the state perhaps forgot all words for Modi being a silent spectator.

As BJP's most high-profile leader and prime minister aspirant Narendra Modi is coming to address the rally at Brigade Parade Ground, the Kolkata Cops claim that though they are expecting a "moderate" crowd, it is his security details have kept them on tenterhooks. "Ever since the Indian Mujahideen sponsored blast in Patna, there are certain specific security aspects that we need to take care of," said a senior official of Kolkata Police. 

Social networking forums run by pro BJP activists has also put a pulsation in the internet well.
